Journal Entry 1

I have finally arrived on earth. I can feel the toxic darkness assaulting my intellect, eager to corrupt once more, but unable to comprehend and thus destroy my innocence. Although they have not yet revealed themselves to my vision, I can feel their evil, a coldness and blackness which is foreign to me. Those traitorous shades surround me, spouting hatred in the ancient tongue for my invasion of their world. From the moment the Guardians violently cut a door in their defenses to let me in I could feel their anger. I have no need to resist their attacks; they break upon me as water on rocks. I am in their realm, but they cannot touch me, for I am beyond their reach. But their malevolence obscures my vision, and I can only see the Guardians as though peering through water. My guide has already warned me about this, and has said that it is the reason the humans walk about in such ignorance. The straining of my eyes makes me weary, and I must sleep. Tomorrow I will begin my observations.
